2/27/07 // Give your baby a healthy start during National Nutrition Month

Baby Cubes & more™ Asks Moms to Trade In Their Conventional Jarred Baby Food for Fresh, Certified Organic

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 26, 2007— Baby Cubes & more, providing the highest quality organic food for babies and toddlers, wants to help health-conscious moms around the country get their babies off to a nutritious start. March is National Nutrition Month, and to celebrate, they’re inviting moms to trade in a label from their conventional baby food for a free sample of BabyCubes™ certified organic baby food.

According to a recent National Health and Examination Survey, the number of overweight children, ages 6-19, has tripled within the last 30 years. Many experts agree that diversifying babies’ palates with fresh, nutritious foods, improves their chances of making healthy choices later in life.

“We know moms would prefer their babies’ food to be free of any additives or preservatives,” said Iria Nishimura, CEO of BabyCubes. “We’re happy to offer this trade-in for our product, which is both healthy and convenient for busy moms who have little time to prepare fresh, organic baby food on their own. We think it’s a great way to celebrate National Nutrition Month.”

Certified organic produce has not been exposed to any fertilizers, pesticides or genetic engineering, in accordance to USDA standards. BabyCubes maintains this high level of quality throughout the entire production process. They purchase all fruits and vegetables from certified organic handlers. They then steam, puree, and freeze the produce into small cubes to lock in essential nutrients. Absolutely no additives are used, which is especially good for babies with food allergies. All production occurs in a rigorously inspected commercial kitchen.

Participating moms simply peel off and mail in a label of the baby food they’re currently buying to receive a free sample of BabyCubes, with a limit of one sample per household. The label can be attached to a postcard or dropped in an envelope, and it may include a note specifying which variety they want to try.
