School Health Clinics of Santa Clara County provides primary medical care to at-risk children through seven school-based clinic locations in San Jose and Gilroy. By putting high-quality medical care services where the kids are, we enable families to easily access the health care they so desperately need for their young children. Services at the clinics include Well-Child checks, immunizations, treatment for illness and injury, care and monitoring for chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, and health education for children and parents. In addition, clinic staff are available to assist families with enrollment in low-cost insurance programs such as Healthy Families and Healthy Kids.
For parents who don't have a medical home for their children, a school based health clinic is often the answer. Conveniently located in high need neighborhoods, staff at each clinic monitor an infant's developmental stages and help parents care for their newborns as well as provide preventative care children up to age 18.
